Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented R&D Scientist I to join our rapidly growing team in the pharmaceutical industry. This role involves executing analytical method verification and validation activities for pharmaceutical drug products and raw materials, ensuring compliance with current ICH/FDA requirements, and providing technical support within the laboratory and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute Analytical Method Verification/Validation activities of Pharmaceutical Drug Products and raw materials as per current ICH/FDA requirements.Document analytical activities and results accurately, in a timely manner, maintaining data integrity.Formulate lab-scale batches of products and placebos to support analytical method validation.Provide technical support within the laboratory and other departments as required.Support the calibration of equipment.Participate in regular project reviews with Directors.Ensure all duties and activities associated with the R&D Department comply with FDA, OSHA, and GMP systems.

Education/Skills:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or Biology.Strong wet chemistry skills (pH, viscosity, titrations, etc.).Proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques (HPLC, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, etc.).Experience in method and analytical validation.

Work Environment:

This position is based in the R&D lab at our headquarters, working closely with a small team of 3-4 people. Our company, though small with just over 110 employees, is growing rapidly. We offer a collaborative environment where you will gain exposure to various aspects of the R&D process, including method development, validation, new product development, and troubleshooting. The work environment includes a big warehouse with a filling department, labs, and offices dedicated to QA and regulatory/corporate support. The company has a strong growth plan, particularly in the generic drug market and the European market, and recently expanded into the Canadian market.About Actalent
