R&D Senior/Lead Systems Engineer - Surgical Robotics (Cambridge, MA)

Your role:
Work on a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and experienced medical robotics R&D team, tasked with inventing and launching the next generation of medical solutions for Philips’ Image Guided Therapies business.
Work with solution architect, domain experts, and domain architects to perform system decomposition and allocation of derived requirements down to HW/SW element and part level and related traceability.
Provide overall systems engineering technical leadership and are responsible for realization of full system/product release/life cycle management to ensure quality and compliance.
Translation of user and business requirements into product requirements, high level product design, check and optimize integration and verification
Trade-off of product/system design specifications and interfaces, determine feasibility of potential solutions, and leading technical & design reviews.
Work with other team members to ensure full Product Safety Risk Management in a regulation compliant manner.

You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 5+ years of professional experience in Systems/Product Engineering, within a regulated systems/product environment preferably for medical robots. (FDA, ISO13485, IEC62304)
Your skills include a deep knowledge and understanding of complex mechatronics/robotics systems with real time motion control and complex software applications.
You are experienced in Requirements Engineering in a regulated environment, preferably Medical Robotics and FMEA applied to medical devices and Risk Management following ISO 14971. Requirements specifications flow down techniques experience will be required.
You have a MS, or PhD, in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or other technical field
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You’re a self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills; and a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. You enjoy a high-paced professional environment that is a blend of significant individual contributions, as well as team collaboration using Agile methodologies.
How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay range for this position in MA is $139,000 to $223,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
