R&D Senior Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

As a core member of the Global R&D Sustainability team in Smart Power Division (CoE LCA & Eco-design), you will join our international & multidisciplinary group of engineers working in the field of Product Sustainability and Circularity. In this role you will be able to put theory into practice by contributing to our projects, from Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) up to the implementation of the Eco-design principles in new product developments.Holding this position will enable you to interface with various key stakeholders from both our Competence Centers and Manufacturing Units spread around the globe.The work model for the role is hybrid.This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power globally.You will be mainly accountable for:• Assess the environmental aspects & circularity of existing and new products with LCA & other relevant methodologies to support Eco-design implementation in R&D• Contribute to Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) preparation & verification activities.• Stay abreast of trends & best practices in the field of Eco-design & Product Sustainability.• Interact with internal & external stakeholders to run different activity streams: primary data collection, pilot projects in line with the Division Sustainability Targets.• Perform assigned tasks including definition, approach, analysis, review, and implementation on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications for the role

A bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering fields (or relevant related areas) with focus on Sustainability Experience in LCA modeling software (SimaPro as a plus). Individual with a clear Purpose and Passion about Sustainability & Circularity Experience on Eco-design and Life Cycle Thinking projects. Experience in Product design, R&D or Quality as a plus Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, learning & solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
