R&D Technician
Overview R&D Technician Responsibilities Support FLNA Region product development team of approximately 9 Engineers and scientists in developing new products and processes on short time lines, including consumer tests, laboratory work, process lab test runs and full scale manufacturing runs. Develop and perform core competency technician duties such as: ingredient inventory, sample management, material ordering, customer sampling, consumer test preparation, including but not limited to: Effective work with cross functional teams Maintain and manage product and raw ingredient inventories in-lab, refrigerated / frozen storage Autonomously execute experiments on bench, in pilot lab, and on commercial lines while tracking data and capturing notes for reporting Manage consumer testing requests and preparing samples for field execution Manage analytical submissions and communicating results in an organized and timely fashion Support post launch activities which would include product quality monitoring and interface with manufacturing plants Coordinate and manage product reviews internally and sample preparation for Customer Meetings Maintain up-to-date equipment list and assist in identification of new Coordinate shipping in support of PD and Lab Be the point person for specifications and other crucial documents for incoming Maintain the schedule of activities in the labs in alignment with the team priorities As part of the PFNA R&D team, you will be responsible for managing lab work and partnering with scientists and engineers to develop innovation and maintain quality across our AFH/Meals portfolio. This individual will be supporting the team objectives through benchtop sample production, mid & full-scale testing support, inventory management, shipping, and sample submission for consumer and analytical testing. Team member will act as an owner partnering with non-R&D teams to enable product design. Successful candidate will have strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills to manage projects at different stages of execution. NOTE: Occasional travel (25%) and over time may be warranted as projects require Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $42,000 - $67,000 Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
