R&d Technician
Job Title: R&D Technician (Medical Device)

Job DescriptionPerform testing and evaluation of commercial and new combination medical devices. Set up and operate laboratory equipment including mechanical testers, environmental chambers, analytical instruments, and imaging systems. Conduct hands-on experiments and execute test plans to assess the performance, functionality, and safety of medical devices. Collect and analyze test data. Collaborate with R&D engineers and scientists to assist in the design, development, and optimization of new products and processes. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of prototype devices and contribute to the improvement of device manufacturing processes. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Maintain detailed records of laboratory activities, experimental procedures, and test data in compliance with regulatory requirements. Development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory activities and testing processes.

You will be part of a team with 4 other Technicians and 1 Technical Supervisor, within a 30-person R&D department. You will work in the engineering testing lab, at a desk, and occasionally in a machine shop and lab. Some occasional weekend work may be required, potentially on Saturdays. Standard working hours are 7:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Enjoy a collaborative, hard-working, and fun team culture with flexible hours and start times. The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
