R&D Technician
Job Title: R&D Mechanical TechnicianJob Description This individual will work on a wide range of R&D mechanical technician experiments. The role involves analyzing and testing for the R&D team and supporting quality control for disposable teams. Responsibilities + Write reports and protocols. + Perform mechanical testing including but not limited to force testing, pull testing, pressure testing, and leak testing. + Build engineering prototypes supporting both sustaining and NPD teams. + Develop and maintain record-keeping for all testing performed. + Handle setup, acquisition, and maintenance of equipment and supplies. + Maintain all supplies and inventory for the mechanical testing labs. + Develop test methods, design test fixtures, and analyze data. + Perform solvent bonding, UV bonding, and RF welding with disposable materials, primarily plastics. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience with mechanical calibration of lab equipment. + 5+ years of experience troubleshooting mechanical lab equipment. + 5+ years of experience in engineering prototype building. + 5+ years of experience with plastic and disposable materials. + Experience with troubleshooting, calibration, and installation of mechanical and electromechanical devices. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with plastic injection molding and engineering test fixtures is ideal. + Previous experience in quality control and production is helpful but not required. Work Environment This role is 100% onsite within a mechanical and electrical lab. The individual will work with the R&D team in a brand new lab setting. There is an opportunity for career advancement into more senior technician roles, as well as training and mentoring other technicians. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $85000.00/yr. This is where your well-being matters.
