R&D Technician III
Job Description The Electrical R&D Technician plays a crucial role in developing innovative medical devices, requiring electrical technician experience, an AA degree or equivalent experience, and design verification experience. Working with a team of 5-6 engineers, the technician will design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electronic components and systems to ensure products meet regulatory standards and performance specifications. Key responsibilities include setting up and evaluating electrical tests, executing design verification tests, providing feedback to engineers, troubleshooting prototypes, collaborating with engineering teams, documenting test procedures and results, preparing technical reports, maintaining equipment, training junior technicians, participating in design reviews, and assisting in project planning. The technician will also sustain current and new implantable devices, primarily working in labs with other engineers on approximately 70 different tests. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and eventually manage tests independently. Building quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements is essential.
