The R&D Test Development Engineer is responsible to develop and implement testing procedures and systems to ensure the highest level of product quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and implement testing procedures and systems to ensure the highest level of product quality and reliabilityConduct experiments and analysis to evaluate the performance of devices and materialsParticipate in the development of new test equipment and test methodologiesContinuously improve the testing process and drive improvements in testing efficiency and effectivenessUnderstand capabilities/limitations of characterization equipmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product specifications are metAnalyze test data to identify trends and potential improvements to the testing process


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or related field2+ years hands-on experience in testing and developmentStrong knowledge of physics and technologyExperience with optical characterization techniques, including LIV, FF, NF, and optical modulation analysisStrong analytic and data analysis/mining skills via Excel, Minitab and/or JMP, pythonFamiliarity in Python for equipment control and data analysisFamiliarity with PCB layout tools is desirable, but not requiredKnowledge of laser safety regulations and standardsFamiliarity with DOE, SPC, GR&RExcellent communication and collaboration skills
