The position will perform technical, multi-disciplined tasks to improve manufacturing quality and product performance. This includes activities such as historical data analysis, test design, documentation, and implementation/validation of equipment and process changes. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Design, develop and deploy automated production test systems to Manufacturing Operations. + Design and develop design verification test systems for new product designs. + Participate in creation of test requirements and test strategies. + Provide cost and schedule estimates for test systems developed. + Ensure test system designs meet testability and reliability criteria. + May fabricate test systems as required. + Adhere to Hach test system development standard work + Provide test system support to the Operations team by resolving issues and providing training on deployed test systems. + Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Project Management and Quality personnel **QUALIFICATIONS:** The ideal candidate is a talented professional who can develop talent, foster innovation and deliver results. Must have: + B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or physical science. Associates + Degree plus 10 years of engineering experience may substitute for Bachelor’s degree. + 5+ years of experience in hardware (instrument) test system design preferred. + Hands-on experience in optical metrology is a plus. + Demonstrated experience in common test software tools (i.e. National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand, etc.). + Demonstrated experience applying statistical principles to analyze data. + Experience integrating test system peripherals, such as printers and scanners. + Experience working with common data communication methods and devices (i.e. USB, Modbus, RS-485, etc.). + Experience with manufacturing quality and control tools (i.e. pFMEA, Gauge R&R, etc.) is a plus Hach is proud to part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
