R&D Local Unit Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform mechanical and electrical tests on low voltage electrical devices on the basis of standards and specifications. This activity in research and development of new products, should be done with special attention and analysis capabilities in order to bring a constructive and active contribution to the development of products. The test results will be reported in a clear and concise way in a test document.The work model for the role is: #onsite This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Business area in particular for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo. In the Experimental Laboratory of Certification Department, following the develop and managing the validation process on different Low Voltage devices.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDefininig the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards, prepare the necessary test set-up, the required measure instruments, connect the device under test on the testing plant and execute tests.•\tAnalyzing the tests results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested.•\tProduce and develop activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment, and issue the reports.•\tDefining the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards and execute tests;•\tAnalyzing the tests results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested.•\tProducing and develop activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment, and issue the reports;•\tProposing improvements in the existing test techniques, based on experience and use of new equipment, in particular for test and measurement equipment•\tAssisting and supporting customer during testing activitiesYou will join a dinamic team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

\tHigh School Diploma or bachelor Degree in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in Electrical or Electronic field\tYou have basic knowledge of Electrical engineering\tAbility to demonstrate your experience in Electrical and mechanical measuring instruments, in Analysis capacity and in manual skills.\tYou are qualified in computer skills (programming knowledge and office software package)\tYou are passionate, organized, good at teamwork and have an high desire to learn and attitude for problem solving\tYou are at ease communicating in Italian and English language
