Job Responsibilities:
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for analyzing automotive industry performance vs. regulation targets for tailpipe CO2 emissions. Key objectives include updating Magna forecasting tools to reflect latest vehicle manufacturer product portfolio & sales data, analysis of alternatives for forecasting manufacturer performance in the European market, and support of Magna powertrain special requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Update Magna emission compliance forecasting tools based on manufacturer sales data.
• Evaluate CO2 emissions compliance (Powertrain mix rate) scenarios for Magna OEM customers.
• Investigate alternatives for European market forecasts and develop recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be fluent in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Exposure to Data Analytics course work is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of automobile and automotive engineering is a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Major focused on Mechanical or Environmental Engineering required.
• Currently attending university (Junior or above level preferred) or undergraduate degree complete .
• Exposure to Data Analytics course work is a plus.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong research skills.
• High interest in environmental protection topics and the automotive industry
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
