Job Responsibilities:

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for analyzing Generative AI trends, standards, and opportunities for application in automotive products. Key objectives include conducting/documenting research on artificial intelligence development, AI deployment outlook, and assessment of impact to vehicle design / user interface systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Compile overview of Generative AI theory and practice.
o    Develop tutorial on AI terminology and system design.
o    Summarize history and current state.

•    Assess Generative AI trends and define automotive opportunites.
o    Outline consumer application trends and design best practices.
o    Benchmark current automotive applications.
o    Develop alternatives to consider – revenue generating opportunities for Automotive. 

•    Assess impact to vehicle design.
o    Consider the role of Generative AI in the product development process.
o    Dimension process cost savings opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Completion of coursework in Engineering at the undergraduate level
•    Must be fluent in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
•    Basic knowledge of automobile and automotive engineering is a plus.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
•    Major focused on Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science required.
•    Currently attending university (Junior or above level preferred) or undergraduate degree complete 
•    Exposure to AI related coursework is a plus.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS: 
•    Proficient Computer knowledge and skill, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
•    Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
•    Strong research capability.
•    High interest artificial intelligence topics and the automotive industry

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
•    Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
