JOB TITLE

Record To Report Process Manager | Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions | Finance

 

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Record To Report Tower Lead, you will manage a team and have responsibility for delivery on defined Finance Shared Services Centres processes covering: accounting, reporting, financial controls, tax and law compliance and effective month end closing. Your duties will also include reviewing and improving the day to day operations, processes, way of working, and monthly balance sheet schedules. You will be the key point of contact for the internal and external audits.

 

ROLE PROFILE

Oversee the activities related to month end closing for all assigned entities to ensure timely and accurate closingEscalate accounting issues to Record To Report Tower Lead for first point of contact for resolution.Provide on the job training and guidance to accountants and senior accountants to optimize their performance, including monitoring workloads to ensure timely completion of activities and equal distribution of work among team members.Provide technical IFRS support to the business on all financial accounting matters.Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, taxation and Internal control requirements, including regulatory compliance for setting up business in new territories. Be an integral part of the risk management and fraud prevention directive.Lead any process changes or new process implementation within the Record To Report function in conjunction with Record To Report Tower Lead.Accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of work done by direct reports. Ensure they have a defined action plan and task list. Regularly review their work, maintain a tracker of open items and implement plans to close them.Ensure team maintain all accounting records as required by IFRS, tax and company laws in the relevant countries business operate. These are to be made available as and when requested.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting is a must.Minimum 7 years of experience in General Ledger.Supervisory experience is necessary. Work in a shared services environment is desired.Process improvement outlook.Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.Good written and oral communication skills - Fluent English.
