Position Summary This position is an RA II. The Preclinical Surgical Research Laboratory ( PSRL ) is seeking a Study Director position to assist with managing GLP and non- GLP preclinical studies. This position will be the main point of contact for Industry Partners and will coordinate with CSU departments for all study needs. This position will also be the primary point of contact for a 3 year long ARPA -H grant which has specific milestones and report requirements. Required Job Qualifications + BS in biomedical sciences, engineering, or related field + More than 3 years experience in research lab setting OR + Master’s degree biomedical sciences, engineering, or related field with no other significant professional experience will substitute for the minimum 3 years in a research lab setting and BS degree. AND + Experience with study management + Experience in data documentation and study record organization + Previous experience with summarizing and interpreting data and statistics for scientific reports. + Excellent communication skills + Detail orientated Preferred Job Qualifications + An advanced degree, such as PhD, or DVM + Previous training and experience managing or coordinating GLP studies. + Previous experience working with scientific industry representatives or collaborators. + Previous experience working with in vivo preclinical research + Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and work independently. + Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision. Essential Duties Job Duty CategoryStudy Management Duty/Responsibility + Serves as the Study Lead for the ARPA -H grant, tracks and meets all required milestones, communicates with grant funders and collaborators + Work closely with team member in PSRL , partnering labs and Prime Investigator to track progress and billing + Oversee all study-related activities and ensure that all GLP study documentation and procedural practices follow federal regulations ( CFR .21.58.part C). + Serve as the primary point of communication with study sponsor representatives and co-signee on all study-related decisions. + Manage communication between internal and external partners. + Ensures the initiation and completion of all study activities, such as: IACUC approval, study protocol, phase reports, final reports, internal quality assurance audits, study timelines, etc. + Analyze, interpret, and summarize scientific findings from contributing scientist and consolidate into a final study report + Works with Test Facility Management, the Quality System Coordinators, and CSU Quality Assurance to address any discrepancies with study conduct. + Conducts regular quality control inspections on all study documents. + Manages and tracks all study-related test and control articles. + Manages the process of archiving and shipping of study-related articles, supporting materials, and raw documentation.
