Racquet Sports Professional
Position Summary: Provides the ultimate Racquet experience by providing the highest quality Tennis/Pickleball instruction and customer service. Teach various tennis programs including junior programs, lessons, special events, and clinics.
Essential Duties:
· Provide beginning level through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.
· Assists in promoting and conducting tennis/Pickleball clinics, private lessons, special events, and programs to attract and maintain members’/guests’ tennis/Pickleball interests.
· Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive Tennis/Pickleball lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement in tennis.
· Assists in supervising play and ensuring proper charging of fees.
· Ensure students understand tennis rules, scoring procedures, safety rules, and tennis/Pickleball etiquette.
· Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment, and other property.
· Quickly and efficiently responds to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns professionally and tactfully.
· Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
· Prepare and maintain courts throughout the day and replace clay when needed.
· Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklist for court maintenance
· Stay current on available training and care of the courts
· Maintain the cleanliness of the courts, facility, and checklists grounds.
· Assist with any repairs needed at the facility.
· Follow all facility rules and procedures.
· Clean and maintain court equipment.
· Repair all court nets and windscreens as needed.
· Report any damages immediately to the Director of Racquets.
· Keep court water containers clean and filled with fresh water.
· Pick up balls and trash around the facility.
· Follow any other task written or verbal assigned by the Director of Tennis.
Education/Experience:
· High School diploma or GED.
· Minimum 2 years of experience required, preferably in a private community environment.
· Experience teaching tennis lessons to adults and juniors of various levels.
Physical Demands:
· Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
· Occasionally sits. Regularly lifts to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
· Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
· Noise level is moderate.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
· Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the staff may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, and the manuals for the equipment used.
· Skill level equivalent to a minimum 4.0 USTA rating.
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer and email skills.

Shift:
· Availability during club operating hours, and occasional after-hour events.
Benefits:
• Salary range $45,000 to $50,000 with opportunities for private lesson income.
