Summary
Under the direction of the manager, is responsible for operating specific imaging equipment modalities including; General Diagnostic, Fluoroscopy, Mammography/DEXA, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and/or Nuclear Medicine to produce high level, quality images for radiologic interpretation and diagnosis. Individual must be experienced/competent and actively performing with at least three of the specific modalities listed above.
Education
Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training with an Associate of Science degree.
Licensure/Certification
Current co-workers in the role as of 4/1/2019 must obtain certification for a minimum of three modalities by 4/1/2021. Co-workers hired into this role as of 4/1/2019 and after must obtain certification for a minimum of three modalities within 24 months of hire into the position. These modalities include: MRI, CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and General Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy. Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health. CPR certified. Must have licensure/certification required for three of the following specialty modalities:
General Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy: through ARRT
MRI: MRI certification through ARRT or ARMRIT
CT: CT Certification through ARRT
Mammography: ARRT
Ultrasound: ARDMS or ARRT
Nuclear Medicine: NMT or CNMT
Other Qualifications
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
