* Candidates must have ARRT certification and State of TN License *Responsible for performing radiographic diagnostic procedures and for selecting technique factors and positioning. Under general supervision of clinic manager. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs high quality radiographic procedures on patients of varying ages.
Proficient use of diagnostic radiographic equipment.
Operation and care of computerized processing systems.
Demonstrates proficiency with radiology information systems and PACS.
Provides explanation and pre/post instructions to patients.
Assists radiologist and/or providers in performing radiographic procedures and tasks.
Practices and maintains all safety regulations established or required.
Prepares treatment rooms and ensures supplies are ordered.
Greets patients in a timely, pleasant manner, assists provider as needed.
Assists in scheduling tests and procedures.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Fulfills duties such as sending and receiving patient information.
Responds to medical emergencies, takes appropriate action and notifies appropriate action.
Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department and clinic. Greets guests in accordance to our Guest Excellence Principles and AIDET.
Adheres to WTH Compliance Policy, and maintains confidentiality at all times.
Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Proficiency in the technical field of Radiologic Technology achieved by completion of a two year accredited AMA approved program.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:
CPR licensure, Responsible for maintaining current license with ARRT, as well as have State of TN Licensure.
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures, equipment, and record keeping as required by clinic, WTH, and state. At least one year experience in field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Skills and knowledge obtained through completion of at least two year Radiological Technology. Cheerfully greets patients and families and adheres to Service Excellence expectation standards.
