Job Title: Radar Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radar Technician to join our team. This position involves supporting and participating in the design, testing, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems. You will be responsible for developing technical solutions, reviewing transition plans, coordinating project buy-in across multiple groups, and updating technical orders and engineering drawings. The role also includes executing quality controls and checks on soldering modifications, testing the functionality of modified components, and recording test results in accordance with procedures.

ResponsibilitiesReview proposed architecture changes and provide inputs to design while completing engineering tasks simultaneously.Support and participate in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems.Develop technical solutions and review transition plans.Coordinate project buy-in across multiple groups and update technical orders and engineering drawings.Perform quality controls and checks on soldering modifications completed on components to existing hardware.Support and participate in the testing of functionality, operability, and supportability of modified components.Execute and record test results in accordance with test procedures.Essential SkillsActive Secret clearance.Solder Certification (J-STD-001).Experience in System, Test and Integration, or Hardware Engineering.Ability to assess impacts of hardware changes to existing architecture and make design recommendations.Familiarity with electronic test equipment including digital voltmeter, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and network/spectrum analyzers.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and use schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and problem-solving purposes.Experience analyzing engineering specifications and drawings.Ability to confer with quality, material, manufacturing, and subcontractors to provide and obtain technical information.Experience investigating reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems.Ability to examine, measure, inspect, or test defective parts for conformance and evaluate findings to formulate corrective actions.Work Environment

The worksite location is Flyingdales, UK, with living accommodations in York, which is 50 minutes south of Flyingdales. The schedule is Wednesday-Saturday with two shifts available: 7:00 am-3:00 pm and 2:30 pm-11:30 pm. All travel and lodging are covered by the company. The contract begins early January and goes until Mid April.
