RADHAZ RF Survey Engineer - SkillBridge Internship
Amentum is seeking an RF RADHAZ Survey Engineer to join our team providing technical and engineering support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, VA. Successful candidate will conduct electromagnetic environment (EME) and radio frequency (RF) assessments of DoD surface vessels, submarines, and shore facilities for hazards to ordnance, personnel, and fuel. Position requires worldwide travel to measure EMEs, analyze data, conduct research, and develop technical reports that provide operational guidance for Fleet personnel. Selectee will conduct RADHAZ desk top analysis and develop, maintain and produce technical documentation. SkillBridge candidates **(who will be transitioning from active military duty this year, 2024 and 2025)** are strongly encouraged to apply. Amentum is an Industry Partner of the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge Program. Minimum Requirements and Skills: + Minimum of four (4) years of specialized EMC, EMV, or HERO engineering experience + Minimum of four (4) years of specialized experience using instrumentation and measurement systems required to conduct EMC, EMV, or HERO testing; + Minimum of two (2) years of experience in each of the following areas: Preparing E3 technical documents, which include test plans/reports, analytical evaluations, and presentations; knowledge in antenna system verification testing; application of military standards, handbooks, and specifications; MIL-HDBK-235, MIL-HDBK-240, DOD-STD-1399 Section 070, NAVSEA OP3565 and MIL-STD-461/464 Standards; + A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics; + Demonstrate knowledge and capability to conduct RF measurements; + Average 25% CONUS travel and occasional OCONUS travel. + Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level US Government Clearance.
