Radiation Oncology Advanced Pract Provider
**Overview** CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health includes 275 providers delivering quality care to patients across 88 locations in central and eastern Kentucky. Our full service network delivers a variety of Primary Care Services including Family Internal Geriatric and Pediatric Medicine in addition to several specialties to deliver custom care based on the unique needs of our patients. The Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides high quality, comprehensive, accessible and cost effective radiation oncology patient care through clinical expertise, role modeling, mentoring, consultation, interdisciplinary collaboration and utilization of research. The APP will participate in clinical evaluations, ongoing psychosocial evaluations, patient and family education, coordination of care, weekly evaluations, follow-up, and survivorship. The APP scope of practice is determined by state and federal regulations, the professional code of ethics, professional practice standards and hospital/department policies/ procedures. The scope of advanced practice provider is distinguished by autonomy and a high degree of independent judgment. This level of clinical decision-making is a sophisticated, innovative synthesis of knowledge, clinical evidence, research, scientific theory and nursing process. The APP honors the patient’s mind, body and spirit in support of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. **Responsibilities** + Accurately assesses patient conditions and documents effectively to support charges and to communicate with other providers. + Provides comprehensive patient assessment, including functional, mental, social and physical conditions. Establishes accurate diagnosis. + Seeks consultation/supervision of physician as needed to confirm proper assessment. + Appropriately involves patients and caregivers in treatment planning. + Provides interface between clinic and other providers to assure timely, comprehensive services for patients. + Independently develops and implements treatment plans and evaluates patient’s outcomes. + Takes responsibility for clearly communicating patient needs, care plans and problem resolution to physicians and other healthcare teams. + Possesses knowledge and skill to provide supervision to clinical staff as needed. + Develops/maintains policy and procedure for patient care activities. + Uses process improvement skills to contribute to team development and program growth. + Actively participates in hospital and department projects and committees as appropriate. + Provide clinical support for physicians in satellite clinics. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license + Eligibility for a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and DEA registration **Preferred Qualifications:** + Oncology experience preferred but not required + National Oncology Certification preferred if eligible but not required **Pay Range** $45.00 - $64.00 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
