Job Description:
This is a regional leadership position, that provides support to facilities and markets within the region. This position reports to the Oncology Service Line and works in partnership with the Radiation Oncology Medical Director to develop and implement strategies for the Radiation Oncology sub-service line for Intermountain’s Canyons Region to achieve overall regional goals for clinical quality, value, and patient engagement. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and standardizing processes in Radiation Centers across the Canyons Region and supports Clinical Program initiatives while providing content expertise for market operational leaders and managers within the Oncology Service Line.Essential Functions
Develop and maintain Radiation Oncology regional policies and procedures.Guides the development of compensation and benefits for highly technical radiation oncology positions, to promote successful recruitment and retention across all disciplines.Develop radiation staffing models to ensure safe, effective, efficient care delivery in Radiation Clinics.Develop and implement both short and long-term goals for the Radiation Oncology sub-service line.Ensures continuity and collaboration between the Medical Group and Hospital, locations within the radiation oncology sub-service line, clinical programs, shared clinical services, shared support services, and other system or service line initiatives.Coordinates with the service line leadership of Intermountain cancer services, finance, SCO, and others in the formulation of operating and capital budgets for the Radiation Oncology sub-service line across the region, including working with the medical staff to research, make recommendations, and negotiate for the purchase of capital equipment.Coordinate with facilities team to create and update Radiation Oncology clinic design standards.In support of operational leadership ensures regional financial ensures achievement of regional financial targets for the Radiation Oncology sub-service line including financial operations within pertinent departments (including copay collection, charging, billing, etc.), compliance with formulated budgets, and reduction of unnecessary expenses and variation.Contributes to the regional 5-year strategic plan for the Radiation Oncology sub-service line.Utilizes the Intermountain operating model to accomplish goals and to improve KPIs specified within the 5-year strategic plan.Monitors and improves patient engagement within the Radiation Oncology sub-service line and works with market leaders to develop action plans to achieve desired patient engagement outcomes ensuring that best practices are integrated into all aspects of service delivery.Supports all activities for compliance with federal, state, local, and other regulatory bodies including The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DOPL, and other department specific accrediting and certifying bodies.Skills
