Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities Deliver radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by the physics department. Perform manual calculations. Fabricate custom shielding blocks. Perform Q.A. checks and warm-up Linear Accelerators. Maintain constant communication with patients and family members to lend support and provide information concerning treatment. Responsible for supervising all phases of student clinical rotations. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of an approved school of radiation therapy technology or a school of radiologic technology and a one-year radiation therapy program. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy and licensed by the State of Texas.
