Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Responsibilities:

-Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients with accuracy and precision

-Position patients for treatment, ensuring correct alignment with the designated tumor volume

-Deliver prescribed radiation doses, maintaining accurate records and electronic medical records (EMR)

-Collaborate with radiation oncologists, chief radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

-Participate in clinical instruction, mentoring newly hired therapists and students

-Assist with patient appointment scheduling, billing information, and medical record maintenance

- Accurately cuts blocks (when applicable), makes custom molds, completes simple mu calculations, and accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.

 

Requirements:

-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification

-Strong understanding of radiologic technology, radiation therapy, and medical terminology

-Excellent patient care and communication skills

-Proficiency in EMR systems and electronic medical records

-Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Prior oncology experience (not required but highly valued)

-Recent graduates welcome to apply

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
