In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for providing radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

 

Job Functions:

Provides safe environment of care for patients. Maintains strict confidentiality at all times. Effectively monitors and reports QA issues. Contributes to planning and implementation of radiation treatments. Monitors radiation treatments. Provides timely, adequate teaching to patient, family, significant other. Consistently documents assessments and interventions in the electronic radiation treatment chart. Versatility in all aspects of Radiation Therapy. Performs fabrication of immobilization devices per physician orders. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
