Radiation Therapist I, Full Time, Day Shift
Summary Responsible for the simulation and administration of radiation therapy by using a CT scanner and linear accelerator while following the prescription of a radiation oncologist. Schedule Full Time, Day Shift 8-430pm Qualifications Education Associates in Radiation Therapy or graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program is required. Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy is preferred. Associates Degree required for those graduating from Radiation Therapy program after 12/31/14. Experience One year experience in Radiation Therapy is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations IEMA-Radiation Therapy (Illinois Emergency Management Association) is required in Illinois. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire. ARRT registered in radiation therapy or successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program and eligible to take the certification exam in Radiation Therapy as defined by the American Registration of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Colleague must complete and pass a certification and registration exam in accordance with the eligibility requirements of ARRT within one year of hire.
