Position Responsibilities:

Performs technical tasks associated with the localization of tumors.  Review dosage calculations for accuracy prior to radiation treatments; delivers prescribed dosage of ionizing radiation to patients undergoing therapy. Observes and reports changes in patient's condition to Lead Radiation Therapist.  Records treatment administered on patient's chart.  Prepares examination room; explain procedures and assist patients in preparing for examination or treatment.  Reviews set-up of equipment and patient positioning.  Assists other radiation therapist in planning treatment involving the use of dosimetry procedures and isodosing curves.  Monitors adherence to radiation safety factors on the unit.  Maintain equipment in safe and satisfactory working condition; stock and replenish supplies as required. 

Qualifications:

CRT License and ARRT License required. CRT License and ARRT must be obtained within 6 months of hire 2- 4 year degree in ARRT approved radiation therapy program.
