Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. Administer daily prescribed doses for radiation therapy treatments.
Adhere to standard work.
Follow principles of radiation protection for patient, self and others and utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription.
Educate, prepare and reassure patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing physicians’ advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care.
Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors.
Contributes to the training of radiation therapy students.
Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
