Radiation Therapist

$30,000 sign on bonus for qualified individuals

Description:

Must be able to be on call, including weekends and holidays, and flexible to work above standard hours to meet staffing needs.

Utilizes ionizing-radiation producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by the physician for each patient undergoing a prescribed course of radiotherapyMaintains treatment equipment and records, monitoring treatment area, and other duties as neededAccurately delivers a planned course of radiotherapy by administering treatment in a safe mannerDemonstrates how to use Linacs and CT simulator and perform patient treatmentsProvides patient education, scheduling and excellent customer relationsCorrectly documents and captures charges for procedures

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degreeNew graduates will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must pass boards within 3 months of hireRegistered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation TherapyState Radiation Operator CertificationBasic Life SupportRadiation Oncology preferred
