Safe delivery of daily radiation treatment to patient as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Observe for changes in patients and report these changes immediately to the Radiation Oncologist. Verify patient’s set up by taking initial and weekly portal films. Maintain proper appointment schedule for treatment patients. Keep an accurate treatment record, according to the policy and procedure of the University and department. Record correct billing record for each patient, according to the AMA CPT-4 guidelines and department policy and procedure.

Qualifications
Required:
Complies with regulatory requirements (i.e. TJC) appropriate for position2-4 year degree in ARRT approved radiation therapy programCurrent Certified Radiologic Technologist LicenseCurrent ARRT (maintain current at all times)Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times).Knowledge of record and verify computer programsExpertise in all of the various forms of treatment procedure in own departmentAbility to communicate well with patients and co-workersAbility to maintain a high level of accuracy in a high pace treatment environmentAble to convey a sense of calm professionalism to the patientTrouble-shooting skills regarding treatment parameters - (problem solving)
