Position Specific Description

This position will be to support the Point Beach Nuclear Outage from March 2025 thru mid April 2025.  Preferred candidate will have previous experience performing chemistry duties at a commercial nuclear power plant.  Please apply for consideration.  

Job Overview

The principal duties of the Radiochemical Technician occupation are to obtain plant systems samples of gasses, liquids and solids, and to perform chemical, biochemical and radiation analyses. This employee performs calculations and converts results into useable form, keeps records, calibrates test instruments, prepares standardized chemical reagents and maintains laboratory equipment including laboratory and in-line analyzers. The employee also operates the plant sewage treatment and chlorination systems, performs routine and special radiation surveys and other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned. In addition, this employee must observe and apply industrial safety and radiation protection in strict compliance with applicable plant procedures and regulations practices. Applicants for this position will be subject to any overtime, weekend and shift work deemed necessary by the Company.

Job Duties & Responsibilities None Required Qualifications The applicant must have an associate degree in Chemistry or the equivalent in formal college training leading to a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, including laboratory courses in general, analytical and organic chemistry, and advanced math Must meet site Specific ANSI Qualification: Shall have a minimum of two (2) years working experience in their speciality and should have a minimum of one (1) year of related technical training in addition to experience Pass Technician Selection System (TECH)-Technician level test The applicant must be medically qualified to use respiratory protection equipment Positions in Nuclear Power Business Unit requiring unescorted access to Point Beach Nuclear Plant require applicants to satisfy all Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) security  Preferred Qualifications None
