**Description:**
**What you will do as a Coordinator, Special Procedure:**
+ The Coordinator, Special Procedures performs the duties of the Special Procedures Technologist.
+ The Coordinator is also responsible for the assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Angiography/Special Procedures Department, locally or system wide.
+ The Coordinator works closely with Administrative and Physician leadership to maintain efficient and effective operations, insure quality and promote change.
+ The Coordinator, Special Procedures also assists with the development and maintenance educational programs for the Special Procedures staff.
+ The Coordinator provides supervision and direction to the staff. The Coordinator interacts and works collaboratively with other departments.
+ The Coordinator is patient focused, seeking to provide excellent patient experience.
**_What you will need as a Coordinator, Special Procedure:_**
+ Requires Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. ARRT registered.
+ Two years as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred
+ Assists department management in interviewing, hiring, orienting, evaluating, training and counseling of Special Procedure Technologists.
+ Schedules, plans and assigns duties of staff to meet patient care requirements
+ Regularly performs a variety of routine and complex diagnostic imaging procedures as a Special Procedures Technologist.
+ Assists the department management in planning staff meetings, keeping agendas and minutes and distributing them to staff.
+ Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients to gather and exchange routine patient information with nursing personnel and physicians
+ Analytical skills necessary to repair minor equipment malfunctions and determine methods of providing radiographs based on the specifics of individual cases
+ Ability to lift and position patients for up to twenty percent of work, time, and stand and walk for up to eighty percent of work time when performing required duties
+ Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with all patients
+ Analytical skills necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of computerized tomography techniques and methods, and of cross sectional anatomy in order to obtain quality images
+ Ability to stand and walk for up to eighty percent of work time and to lift and position patients for up to thirty percent of work time
+ Ability to recognize pathology and tailor examination to provide a complete diagnosis
+ Ability to function with limited or no supervision in normal circumstances. Is able to assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of lead and/or manage
+ Maintains a high level of knowledge of hospital information systems, including RadNet and PACS.
