The Radiologic Technician 3 performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative and applies his/her judgment to produce necessary documentation for interpretation for the prescribed exam. The Radiologic Technician 3 operates specialized sonogram equipment as prescribed by the physician. Keeps treatment records and prepares operational reports as required. Maintains, stores and orders supplies and equipment. Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Must have certification as an Ultrasound Technician (or equivalent).
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
NOTE: Mon, Wed Thurs and Friday at Hialeah center. Tuesday will be at Little Havana center.

Essential Functions:
Follow all protocols outlined by the Radiologist.
Assumes responsibility for the cleanliness of the examination room, workstations and equipment.
Will be flexible and understanding with patients.
Will consult with physician/radiologist when encountering the need of immediate medical attention for the patient.
Will initiate the transmission for STAT or Urgent exams for interpretations.
Will ensure that proper levels of stock inventory of related supplies are maintained.
Will keep abreast of new procedures, techniques and applications.
Responsible for continuing education and professional development.

Will apply his/her judgment to produce necessary documentation for interpretation for the ordered exam.
Assures that all exams are completed for interpretation prior to leaving the center.
Consults with Diagnostic Administrator in matters of scheduling, work methods and other related issues.
Advises diagnostic personnel of any problems with the equipment.
Check the PACs system on a daily basis and make sure that all images have successfully passed.
Follow HIPAA regulations at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demand:
Must be capable of regular and consistent attendance.
Must have the physical ability to lift patient or assist in lifting patients on and off the exam table.
Ability to reach, lift, carry and move light weight objects.
Ability to walk, stand, bend and sit intermittently.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program through the American Registry for Dx Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
Current/Active certification as an Ultrasound Technician (or equivalent).
1 year experience in a diagnostic facility or hospital as an Ultrasound Technician.
1 year experience in sonograms.
Must have good knowledge of ultrasound equipment and techniques
Ability to travel 2% of the time to additional sites, when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent and, as individual states require, accreditation through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Experience with MS Outlook
CPR-BLS Certificate preferred
Basic Computer knowledge
Bilingual in English and Spanish
