Student Loan RepaymentThe CVL (Cath Lab) Radiologic Technologist performs the duties of a technologist in the areas that CVL (Cath Lab) colleagues operate (CVL, IR, Hybrid Room). This includes, but is not limited to operating the x-ray equipment, the x-ray processing equipment, scrubbing all types of cases, physiologic monitoring of all cases, and being knowledgeable in the inventory and supplies utilized by all physicians. A Rad Tech, CVL is able to assist and explain procedures to the patient. A Rad Tech, CVL is skilled and knowledgeable to precept new technologists. A Rad Tech, CVL may be assigned special duties or responsibilities as determined by the Manager of the CVL. A Rad Tech, CVL is able to work as a positive contributing member of the CVL team, always displaying professionalism, a positive attitude and a team mentality. A Rad Tech, CVL is expected to take call as part of the CVL team and live within 30 minutes of the facility. A CVL Rad Tech will be knowledgeable on the equipment that is used in the CVL, and able to function independently as an experienced member of the team. This would include but not limited to equipment such as IVUS, Roto-blator, Laser, Volcano, Balloon Pump, Ultra-sound and the x-ray equipment in the Hybrid Room.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: Associate Degree in radiological sciences or certificate from an AMA approved school. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Valid Indiana State License to operate radiographic producing equipment. Minimum Experience: 2 years related experience Preferred Experience: 1year cardiovascular lab experience Certifications Required: BCLS required. Certifications Preferred: ACLS and current specialty registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
