Radiologic Technologist

Inova Health System’s Fairfax Hospital is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team supporting X-Ray. This role is full-time, 8:00am-6:30pm Tues- Fri, with holiday and call rotation. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation available for those eligible.

Responsibilities: 

Assists physicians in performing a variety of examinations by using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques. Recognizes clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and takes appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcomes. Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure the safety of patients and staff.  Maintains exposure readings within the "As Low As Reasonably Achievable" limits.  Demonstrates patient safety in department through the use of side rails, braking mechanisms and patient monitoring. Reports, documents and corrects any adverse, unsafe or unusual condition.  Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition.  Ensures that rooms are appropriately stocked with supplies for procedures.  Troubleshoots equipment effectively and reports equipment to Biomedical Engineering and/or vendors.  Performs/recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images Ask your Recruiter for the full job description!

Requirements:

Work schedule: full-time, 8:00am-6:30pm Tues- Fri, with holiday and call rotation Location: Inova Fairfax Medical Campus Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program. Associates Degree preferred but not required. Experience: 2 years combined classroom and clinical training in radiology.  Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist/student Certification: BLS by the AHA; ARRT within 12 mo of hire
