Responsibilities Operates various radiographic/computer equipment and produces radiographs of designated areas of human anatomy on patients of all ages. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). Qualifications Minimum Education: Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program. (New Graduates must have a letter from the radiology program stating they meet graduation requirements and provide diploma within 3 months of hire if diploma is not available at time of hire) Minimum Experience: Three to six months’ on-the-job experience preferred Required Certification/Registration: New York State License required (New Graduates must have a temporary permit issued by NYS DOH as per NYS DOH Public Health Law Article 35 and obtain a NYS DOH License within 3 months from date of hire) , and registry A.R.R.T. required (New Graduates must obtain the ARRT registry within 3 months from date of hire). Physical Requirements: Stands and walks most of the day. Positions, lifts, or assists in lifting patients on and off x-ray table. Pushes equipment weighing in excess of 100 pounds less than 50% of time. Requires visual effort and reaching to adjust controls and evaluates images most of the day. Working Conditions: Works inside, controlled exposure to elements of radiation, disagreeable odors, and infection. Wears protective clothing and film badge to control or detect exposure to radiation. Contact with patients, physicians, department employees, students and hospital departments, such as nursing. Workplace type On-site
