Aspirus Langlade Hospital in Antigo, WI is seeking a current Radiology student to join the team as a RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST ASSISTANT!
The Radiology Technologist Assistant plays a vital role in the safe, smooth and efficient delivery of diagnostic imaging care to patients of all ages. Working closely with all members of the radiology team, he/she is responsible for providing a clean and safe environment as well as functioning as transporter, positioning aide, runner for supplies and transporter of specimens. This individual assists in maintaining a clean and safe environment by performing room cleaning and set up tasks, cleaning the department traffic areas, stocking supplies and performing end of the day cleaning tasks. Assists with opening sterile supplies and performing patient preps as needed.
The Radiology Technologist Assistant is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the direction of radiologists, registered nurses and registered technologists.
Hours: Occasional as needed, will include all hours, weekends, and holidays.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experienceActively enrolled in Radiology or Imaging college programCurrent BLS certification or obtained within 60 days of hireAspirus Langlade Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Antigo, Wisconsin.
