Our hospitals, care sites and clinicians are recognized for clinical and operational excellence. **Primary Function/General Purpose of Position** The Student Imaging Assistant supports the needs of the Imaging team with the use of the Radiology Information System/PACS, basic computer skills, and excellent communication skills. **Essential Job Functions** + Organizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly removes linen. + Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting patients to and from Radiology that are not requiring patient monitor or high flow oxygen. + Properly operates stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs. + Reviews daily department schedules in order to work efficiently with the Imaging team members. + Maintains office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and informs team leader when supplies need to be ordered. + Responds to patients and visitors promptly and politely. + Operates radiographic equipment and accessories in accordance with the principles of ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable).
