As a safety net hospital, MetroHealth plays an essential role in the region, caring for anyone and everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. **_Primary Patient Population:_** · Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area · Trauma/Emergency Patients · Stroke Patients · Cancer Patients · Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neurology, PM&R, and more. · Operating Room & Pain Management (Parma & Brecksville only) · Bone Densitometry (Parma Only) **_Primary skills utilized/learned:_** · Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology · IV Starts · Produces quality CT/XR images in a variety of settings · Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients · Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort. · On the spot critical thinking · Effective communication skills · Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision · Works well both independently and as part of the CT/XR Team **_Personnel Multi-Modality Tech will work with_** **_:_** · The CT/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients. **_Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:_** · All CT scanners are ACR Accredited o Early life cycle CT and X-Ray equipment at Brecksville, Cleveland Heights, and Parma · All CT/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRT · Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing CT (Computed Tomography) & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans. · Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations. **Qualifications:** **Required:** · Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program · Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) · ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment. · Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH) · American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period. **Preferred:** · One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT. **Physical Requirements:** · May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. · May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs. · May need to sit or stand for extended periods. · See in the normal visual range with or without correction. · Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
