Job Description

Our new center offers comprehensive breast imaging services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, bone density, and breast biopsy procedures. Position's Purpose and Essential Functions: 

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at appropriate technical level. Arranges patients for radiological examinations. Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires an associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and 0-2 years of experience.

Applicants Job Requirements Include:

Education: 

Required: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology Technology either hospital based or college degree program.

Experience: 

Required: Competency in components of radiography practice as appropriate.

Licenses/Certifications: 

Required: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or eligible.Required: BLS within 30 days of hire. Required: State license or certification if applicablePreferred: Advanced ARRT Registration.
