The Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of Radiologic imaging procedures under the supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor and the Radiologist. The Radiologic Technologist produces Radiographic images of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures. Employee utilizes appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the Medical Imaging needs of all patients, and is a critical partner in our Health Centers.

Follows departmental policies and procedures, government guidelines and accrediting regulations:Performs imaging proceduresPerforms equipment quality controlProvides Clean and safe work environment for patients and staffMaintains accurate documentation and recordsCompletes appropriate paperwork and worksheets as requiredAssumes responsibility for critiquing images and documentation of patient historyEffectively communicates and coordinates patient procedures and care to the patient, with the radiologist(s) and other staff as appropriate.Maintain orderliness, cleanliness and sterile technique in compliance with established Universal Precautions.Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and Cigna policy.When applicable, prepares/instructs patient about contrast media and examination technique. Administers contrast media effectively and safely per established procedures.Attends departmental meetings and mandatory in-services. Is responsible for maintaining current licensure/certification for state and national boards, as well as meeting continuing education requirements.Supports a teamwork environment, demonstrates professional behavior, and provides excellent internal and external customer serviceKnowledge of accreditation regulationsProvides exceptional customer service and maintains patient confidentiality.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments; physicians, patients, families as well as external contacts, such as employees of other healthcare institutions community providers and agencies concerning the healthcare of the patient.Responsible for the adoption and demonstration of the Consumer Health Engagement cultural beliefs. Be a role model for the six cultural beliefs to drive personal accountability and organizational results.

What we expect from you:

Current BCLS / CPR certificationAt least two or more years of experience working in RadiologyGraduate of an approved ARRT Radiological Technology School requiredCurrent ARRT registration and respective State certification required Ability to convey information to customers in a warm, clear, concise manner.Ability to maintain strictest level of patient confidentiality at all timesAbility to work in a fast paced environmentSolid Computer skills Ability to work under minimal supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTeam orientedStrong time management skillsResponsible and reliable Ability to work health center hours

This position is based in the Health Center in West Palm Beach FL.
