Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Computed Tomographic (CT) Technologist performs all computerized tomography scans on various portions of the body to assist the Medical Staff in the detection of abnormalities. This position performs duties and functions of a Radiology Technologist as assigned. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating patient; newborn through geriatric population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Mary Medical. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Mary Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan.
Qualifications
One year full-time CT specific work experience in an acute care environment.Completed an accredited educational program related to the American Registry of Rad Techsradiology field and is registered with the American Registry (CT ARRT) ART CRT CT CPR BLS required.ARRT certification Required.Certification in computed tomography.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Siemens CT Scanners preferred.
