Position Summary:
The incumbent provides coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe a confidential environment form admission to discharge. The Incumbent is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team providing leadership personal/professional development and conducting him/herself professionally.
The Radiology Nurse provides specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a radiology setting. Utilizing a holistic approach, the nurse coordinates and directs patient care from admission to discharge, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being. The nursing process is employed to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide effective and appropriate interventions. The incumbent is responsible for preparing patients for radiological procedures, assisting during procedures, monitoring patient responses, and providing post-procedure care.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care. The Radiology Nurse will demonstrate leadership, engage in personal and professional development, and maintain a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and safety. Additionally, the nurse is expected to operate and assist with various radiology-specific equipment such as contrast injectors, portable X-ray machines, MRI/CT scanners, and patient monitoring systems, ensuring proper use and patient safety protocols are followed.

Minimum Qualifications:Current California Registered Nurse (RN) licenseCandidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.One (1) year experience in critical care, cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rhythms, basic ECG interpretation and cardiac hemodynamics.Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
