Overview Under the direction of the Director for the School of Radiologic Technology, the student learns perform general radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Learns to operate, maintain and troubleshoot various types of radiographic and fluoroscopic related equipment. During the training period the student is required to successfully complete all program requirements leading to the eligibility to set for the ARRT certification examination in radiography. Students are expected to observe all medical center policies and procedures. All students are expected to provide excellent customer service. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: GED or High School Diploma. Specific course work: To complete the prerequisite college credit in coursework identified in the admission requirements for the program. Preferred Education: Associate's degree or Vocational training Necessary Skills: 1. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner with patients, visitors and hospital employees. 2. Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work flow. 3. Requires excellent decision making and problem solving skills. 4. Must be detail oriented. 5. Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner. Preferred Experience: Less than one year prior healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
