We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** **What you will do in this role:** + Shadow and observe licensed Radiology Technologists to gain a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities. + Assist in preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and ready for patient use. + Help position patients for radiographic examinations under the direct supervision of a licensed Radiology Technologist. + Assist with the maintenance and organization of radiology equipment and supplies. + Provide basic patient care and comfort, such as answering questions, providing reassurance, and ensuring patient privacy. + Observe and learn proper radiation safety practices and procedures. + Participate in educational opportunities, such as attending workshops, seminars, or training sessions, as directed by the supervising Radiology Technologist or department manager. + Promotes consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service. + Demonstrates caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions. + Demonstrates excellent communication skills, including active listening. Ensures patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications. + Participates as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues. + Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates behaviors consistent with established policies/procedures. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” **What qualifications you will need:** + Completion of prerequisite coursework in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate - Current enrollment in an accredited radiology technology program, or 6 months post graduation required At The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (https://careers.hcahealthcare.com/pages/the-womans-hospital-of-texas) , _our care philosophy is Woman First.
