Radiology Technologist

Summary:  Utilizes radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to obtain high quality diagnostic images in a timely fashion for the efficient operation of the Radiology Department.

Education:   ARRT certification or registry eligibility is required.  Rhode Island state licensure is also required.  In addition, must also be CPR certified or obtain it within 3 months from date of hire.

Experience:  1 year experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Works in clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated areas.  May be exposed to electrical and radiant energy and to unpleasant physical conditions of patients.  Stands, walks, and lifts (medium to heavy weights) most of the day.  The possibility of exposure to blood and body fluids does exist in this work environment.  Hospital safety training is required annually to reduce the risk of exposure.
