We are currently seeking well-qualified talent to join our PhysicianOne team. The ideal candidate will be available for 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays. Comfortable working in an Urgent Care or similar fast-paced environment.

The hybrid role of Rad Tech/MA is responsible for working primarily as an MA and taking X-Rays as needed. The Rad Tech/MA will assist Providers; MD’s, DO’s, PA’s, APRN’s and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients following PhysicianOne Urgent Care's standards and practices as directed by the Provider leader. Performs other clerical and administrative tasks as required. Emulates the ideals set forth in the PhysicianOne Urgent Care Mission Statement.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Clinical:

Complies with all HIPAA regulations with regards to patient privacyComplies with all OSHA safety standardsObtains pertinent clinical information including the patient’s complaint, health history, and measurement of vital signsPrepares patient for examinationPrepares for all necessary procedures and treatments according to established specificationsAssists providers with examinations, procedures, and treatmentsPerforms wound irrigations, dressings, bandages wounds and incisions, and applies splints as well as other tasks ordered by the ProviderPerforms diagnostic tests including eye exams, EKG, Pulse Ox, Peak flow and throat and nasal swabsPerforms CLIA-waived lab tests; draws blood and collects, labels and processes specimens to send to the laboratoryPerforms daily office and laboratory opening and closing proceduresMaintains emergency equipment for use at all times in a clean and safe conditionMaintains supplies, stocks exam rooms, treatment areas, and laboratory on a daily basisSterilizes non-disposable instruments and disposes of contaminated supplies and medical waste in accordance with established standardsProvides discharge instructions as ordered by the ProviderAssists the Provider and front office staff to facilitate flow through the clinic in a timely and appropriate fashionMaintains proficiency in all areas by attending inservice training as requiredMaintains CPR certification

Radiographer Duties:

Performs x-rays ordered by the Provider to help diagnose a variety of medical problemsClosely follows provider instructionsCommunicates effectively with all types of patients to gain their understanding and cooperation with radiographic testingPrepares radiographic equipmentAssists patients in the removal of garments or jewelry that may interfere with the procedurePositions patients correctlyAccurately captures the requested diagnostic image by setting the equipment to obtain the best density, detail, and contrast of the area being imagedTakes preventative steps to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiationStores and maintains radiographic images according to clinic protocolAssists patients by copying or transferring x-ray images for use by their PCP or specialty physicianCleans and disinfects x-ray equipment using appropriate materials.Keeps x-ray suite well-stocked, clean and orderly at all timesWears appropriate RAD badge at all times

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist program is requiredState licensure in Radiography is requiredGraduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred but not requiredKnowledge of medical terminologyBasic computer skillsSkill in obtaining and maintaining accurate medical recordsAbility to communicate clearly and show patience with patientsMust be able to perform each essential duty related to examination, diagnostic, and treatment room responsibilities satisfactorilyAbility to initiate and complete tasks related to job duties without direct request of a supervisorAbility to work well with others and be willing to help when neededMaintains the strictest confidentiality of patient informationAbility to multi-task with patients and other responsibilities

Requirements

Covid-19 & Seasonal Influenza Vaccinations required as this is an essential part of the role.  

 

Compensation Range

$31-45 hourly (based on experience)

Compensation Range

$40-45+ hourly (based on experience)
