CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

**Responsibilities**

**Job Summary / Purpose**
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Assumes responsibilities for specified radiographic procedures and computed tomography exams.
**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**
+ _Provide Radiologist with proper equipment and history to complete patient exams._
+ _Obtain radiographs/CT images of various body parts: knowledge of patient positioning for all exams_
+ _Proper setting of equipment for lowest radiation dose for exams. Places proper patient ID and right/left markers on all exams. Assesses imaging for proper technique before turning in for Radiologist to read._
+ _Proper coding and charging for all procedures._
+ _Obtaining patient consent for contrast exams._
+ _Starts IV’s for contrast exams along w/nursing._
+ _Performs EKG’s_
+ _Assists Lab with Phlebotomy_
+ _Share with the other technologists all on call hours, weekends and holidays; trading on call hours on_ _occasion to accommodate co-workers._
+ _Proper knowledge of how and when contrast material will be used: Asks appropriate questions pertinent to contrast material being used. Knowledge of drug reaction to contrast agent. Knowledge of proper procedures in a contrast reaction._
+ _Able to process all images and send out or make copies._
+ _Maintain clean, neat work area with proper disinfectants._
+ _Performs quality control in Radiology Dept_
+ _Performs routine maintenance checks to ensure proper equipment operation._
+ _Ensures QA is kept within all state and federal accreditation standards._
+ _Assists the Dept. Manager with gathering QA data and makes suggestions for new QA indicators._
+ _Willingly assists with transporting of patients._
+ _Properly releasing all patient diagnostic exams._
+ _Schedule all patient exams._
+ _Routinely perform technical aspects of patient care in a timely and safe manner according to established standards, policies and procedures._

ARRT registered or registry eligible, CT registered or registry eligible
**Pay Range**
$26.34 - $36.21 /hour
