At PeaceHealth, we believe in providing compassionate care, and we're looking for individuals who share our commitment to making a positive impact. **Your Role in Our Community:** As a Radiologic Technologist at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include: + Preparing for and performing standard x-ray examinations, portable examinations, and you may perform fluoroscopic and surgical x-ray procedures utilizing appropriate radiation safety measures, proper positioning and selection of appropriate technical factors using various radiographic equipment to obtain optimal results. + Preparing, suppling, and equipping exam room to meet the needs of requested examinations and to meet specific physician requirements for procedures. + Organizing daily work schedule and performing related clerical duties as required. + Integrating previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history and medical records to optimize exam. + Performing the most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary. + Providing patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Providing training/education to staff and students as indicated. + Demonstrating ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems. + Performing x-ray examinations applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures. + Applying ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self patient, and visitor. Evaluating patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated. **What You'll Bring to the Table:** + Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology. + Ideally, at least one year of relevant experience + Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development, and life stages to meet each patient’s need + Demonstrated venipuncture competency + Proficiency in PACS/RIS systems + Registered with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). Must maintain active registry with the state of Oregon OBMI. + ARRT eligible, ARRT(R) certification required within 6 months of hire. May work under OBMI Temporary license pending ARRT certification. + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross **Why Choose PeaceHealth Peace Harbor?** + **Competitive Compensation:** Earn between **$37.78– $53.34** per hour.
