Performs imaging of Diagnostic XR exams following the Florida Hospital protocols. Develops knowledge and competency of technologists and students by overseeing image quality and providing technical imaging support. Utilizes the hospital performance improvement process in the goals of Imaging Services. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Follows FH policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patient for contrast allergies. (Exam Supervision and Administration) + Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps work flow moving for assigned campus, and minimizes empty table time. Follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OP’s. Maintains supplies by notifying manager to order items when par levels are low and puts new stock away upon arrival to department. (Personal Productivity and Accountability + Utilizes the knowledge of a full range of imaging procedures and equipment in assigned department. Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patient of all ages; adapts protocols as necessary. Helps to develop knowledge and competency of technologists and students; may serve as clinical instructor to the XR students.
