Radiology Technologist Assistant

Your Everyday 

Demonstrate proficient technical skills and knowledge in use of all ultrasound/sonography equipment, protocols, procedures and producing quality imaging of internal organs.  

Observe and monitor patient's vital signs. 

Review physician orders with the Radiologist to ensure the proper examination and diagnostic results. 

Prepare and review procedure with patient to obtain clinical history/informed consent, educate, ease anxiety, answer questions and address concerns to ensure patient cooperation.  

Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action for a positive outcome. 

Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities with radiologists if needed.   

Maintain inventory of supplies and orders as needed. 

Maintain equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees. 

Check and inspect the suite, clean and assess equipment daily for physical or mechanical hazards immediately reporting dangerous conditions to the appropriate team member. 

Maintain appropriate stock supply levels. 

Demonstrate a satisfactory working knowledge of and the ability to input and verify data in PACS 

Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient. 

Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked. 

The Must-Haves 
 
Minimum: 

Eligible for Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)   

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
